Estonian Producer Prices Fall for 3rd Month
Estonian producer prices dropped by 1.0 percent year-on-year in September 2019, following a 1.3 percent fall in the previous month. It is the third straight monthly decline in producer prices, as prices continued to decrease for both electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (-3.7 percent vs -8.7 percent in August) and manufacturing (-1.4 percent vs -1.2 percent). On the other hand, mining and quarrying prices increased softer (6.6 percent vs 7.5 percent), while inflation of water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation was steady (at 0.9 percent). On a monthly basis, producer prices edged down 0.1 in September, after a 0.2 percent drop in a month earlier.

Estonian Producer Prices Fall the Most in 3 Years
Estonian producer prices dropped by 1.3 percent year-on-year in August 2019, following a 0.2 percent fall in the previous month. It is the second straight month decline in producer prices and the steepest drop since August 2016, as electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply prices decreased faster (-8.7 percent vs -7.2 percent in July) and manufacturing prices went down by 1.2 percent ( vs 0.3 percent). On the other hand, mining and quarrying prices increased faster (7.5 percent vs 6.5 percent), while cost of water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation rose by 0.9 percent, the same pace as in July. On a monthly basis, producer prices declined 0.2 in August, reversing a 0.1 percent rise in a month earlier.

Estonian Producer Prices Fall for First Time in Near 3 Years
Estonian producer prices dropped by 0.2 percent year-on-year in July 2019, reversing a 0.5 percent rise in the previous month. It is the first decline in producer prices since September 2016, mainly due to a sharp fall in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply prices (-7.2 percent vs -5.4 percent in June). In addition, mining and quarrying prices went up softer (6.5 percent vs 7.5 percent), while prices of manufacturing were flat (vs 0.3 percent). Meantime, cost of water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation increased by 0.9 percent, after a flat reading in June. On a monthly basis, producer prices edged up 0.1 in July, the same pace as in a month earlier.

Estonian Producer Inflation Slows to 3-Month Low
Estonian producer prices increased by 0.5 percent year-on-year in June 2019, easing from a 1.1 percent rise in the previous month. It is the lowest producer inflation since March, mainly due to a sharp fall in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply prices (-5.4 percent vs 6.9 percent in May). At the same time, cost went up faster for mining and quarrying (7.5 percent vs 5.0 percent) and cost of manufacturing rebounded (0.3 percent vs -0.1 percent), mainly due to increases in prices of manufacture food products; while cost of water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation was unchanged (the same as in May). On a monthly basis, producer prices edged up 0.1 in June, after a 0.4 percent drop in a month earlier.

Estonian Producer Inflation Eases to 1.1% in May
Estonian producer prices increased by 1.1 percent year-on-year in May 2019, slower than a 1.6 percent rise in the previous month. Cost went up softer for both electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (6.9 percent vs 7.0 percent in April) and mining and quarrying (5.0 percent vs 5.2 percent). In addition, cost of manufacturing edged down (-0.1 percent vs 0.5 percent), mainly due to decreases in prices of manufacture of electronic equipment and fuel oils, and in heat energy supply. Meanwhile, cost of water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation was unchanged (the same as in April). On a monthly basis, producer prices fell 0.4 in May, after a 0.7 percent gain in a month earlier.

Estonian Producer Inflation Rises to 4-Month High of 1.6%
Estonian producer prices increased by 1.6 percent year-on-year in April 2019, faster than a 0.4 percent rise in the previous month. It was the highest producer inflation since December last year, as cost of manufacturing went up faster (0.5 percent vs 0.1 percent in March), mainly due to increases in prices of manufacture of food products, fuel oils, and wood products. In addition, cost of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply rebounded sharply (7.0 percent vs -3.7 percent). Meanwhile, producer inflation was steady for mining and quarrying (at 5.2 percent) and cost of water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation was unchanged (the same as in March). On a monthly basis, producer prices rose 0.7 in March, after a flat reading in a month earlier.
