Lithuania Retail Sales Rise 4.7% YoY in September
Retail sales in Lithuania increased 4.7 percent year-on-year in September of 2019, accelerating from an upwardly revised 3.1 percent gain in the previous month. Sales rose faster for both non-food products (9.1% from 7.0% in August) and automotive fuel (6.1% from 2.9%). Meanwhile, sales of food products declined further (-0.6% from -0.4%), namely in non-specialised stores (-0.5% vs -0.2%). Within non-food products, sales went up faster for via mail order houses or via internet (11.9% from 8.7%); dispensing chemist, medical & orthopaedic goods (13.8% from 10.6%); information & communication equipment (9.6% from 7.6%), and textiles clothing & footwear (19.8% from 11.0%). On the other hand, sales of audio, video, hardware, furniture & lighting increased softer (3.7% from 4.6%). On a monthly basis, retail trade tumbled 7.4 percent, reversing from an upwardly revised 0.4 percent rise in August.

Lithuania Retail Sales Rise the Least in 1-1/2 Years
Retail sales in Lithuania increased 2.9 percent year-on-year in August of 2019, easing from an upwardly revised 6.9 percent gain in the previous month. This was the smallest gain in retail sales since February last year, as sales rose softer for both non-food products (6.7% from 12.9% in July) and automotive fuel (2.8% from 8.4%). In addition, sales of food products declined (-0.7% from 0.5%), namely in non-specialised stores (-0.5% vs 0.7%). Within non-food products, sales went up softer for via mail order houses or via internet (6.6% from 24.2%); dispensing chemist, medical & orthopaedic goods (10.9% from 19.4%); audio, video, hardware, furniture & lighting (4.9% from 9.9%); and information & communication equipment (6.9% from 12.6%). On the other hand, sales of textiles clothing & footwear increased faster (11.1% from 9.3%). On a monthly basis, retail trade went up 0.2 percent, slowing from an upwardly revised 5.8 percent rise in July.

Lithuania Retail Sales Rise the Most in 3 Months
Retail sales in Lithuania increased 6.6 percent year-on-year in July of 2019, accelerating from an upwardly revised 3.8 percent gain in the previous month. This was the biggest gain in retail sales since April, due to a rise in sales of non-food products (11.8% from 5.7% in June); automotive fuel (8.6% from 3.4%). Meanwhile, sales of food products continued to increase (0.7% from 2.3%), namely in non-specialised stores (0.8% vs 2.6%). Within non-food products, sales went up faster for via mail order houses or via internet (22.2% from 13.6%); dispensing chemist, medical & orthopaedic goods (19.0% from 9.8%); audio, video, hardware, furniture & lighting (8.5% from 2.2%) while those of information & communication equipment rebounded sharply (12.0% from -0.7%). On the other hand, sales of textiles clothing & footwear rose softer (8.1% from 13.6%). On a monthly basis, retail trade jumped 5.5 percent, reversing a downwardly revised 1.1 percent fall in June.

Lithuania Retail Sales Rise the Least in 16 Months
Retail sales in Lithuania increased 3.3 percent year-on-year in June of 2019, slowing from an upwardly revised 3.4 percent gain in the previous month. This was the smallest gain in retail sales since February of 2018, due to a slowdown in sales of non-food products (5.4% from 8.7% in May). On the other hand, sales of automotive fuel grew faster (3.0% from 1.2%) while those of food products rebounded (1.7% from -0.1%), namely in non-specialised stores (1.9% after a flat reading in May). Within non-food products, sales went up softer for via mail order houses or via internet (14.3% from 20.0%); dispensing chemist, medical & orthopaedic goods (10.4% from 17.5%); audio, video, hardware, furniture & lighting (1.1% from 6.6%) while sales of information & communication equipment dropped (-2.0% from 4.1%). Meantime, sales of textiles clothing & footwear rose faster (13.5% from 5.1%). On a monthly basis, retail trade decreased 1.6 percent, reversing from a revised 0.2 percent rise in May.

Lithuania Retail Sales Rise the Least in 15 Months
Retail sales in Lithuania increased 2.9 percent year-on-year in May of 2019, slowing from an upwardly revised 14.3 percent gain in the previous month. This was the smallest gain in retail sales since February of 2018, as sales growth eased for both non-food products (7.8 pct from 13.3 pct in April) and automotive fuel (1.2 pct from 8.6 pct) while those of food products fell (-0.6 percent from 18.6 percent), namely in specialised stores (-7.6 pct from 0.5 pct). Within non-food products, sales rose softer via mail order houses or via internet (20.0 pct from 37.9 pct); dispensing chemist, medical & orthopaedic goods (17.1 percent from 21.2 percent); audio, video, hardware, furniture & lighting (5.4 pct from 10.5 pct); textiles clothing & footwear (3.9 pct from 5.2 pct), and information & communication equipment (3.0 percent from 8.7 percent). On a monthly basis, retail trade decreased 0.3 percent, down from an upwardly revised 6.8 percent jump in April.

Lithuania Retail Sales Rise the Most in Over 11 Years
Retail sales in Lithuania surged 13.5 percent year-on-year in April of 2019, accelerating from an upwardly revised 4 percent gain in the previous month. This was the biggest gain in retail sales since February of 2008, as sales growth accelerated for both non-food products (12.6 pct from 10.1 pct in March) and automotive fuel (8.2 pct from 8 pct) while those of food products rebounded sharply (17.6 pct from -3.4 pct). Within non-food products, sales increased faster via mail order houses or via internet (35.5 pct from 15.6 pct); dispensing chemist, medical & orthopedic goods (21.1 percent from 5.6 percent). Meanwhile, sales went up at a softer pace for audio, video, hardware, furniture & lighting (10.6 pct from 13.3 pct); textiles clothing & footwear (2.4 pct from 16.3 pct), and information & communication equipment (7.8 percent from 9.2 percent). On a monthly basis, retail trade rose 6.1 percent, easing from an upwardly revised 13.7 percent jump in March.
